The Seido philosophy is based around three core concepts— respect, love, and obedience— and is rooted in centuries of Japanese martial arts tradition and philosophies. Over the years, we have grown into a worldwide organization with thriving branches throughout the United States and in Asia, Australia, Europe, New Zealand, South Africa, and South America. Whether you are new to karate or looking to return home, no matter your age or level of fitness, our Seido community is eager to train alongside you.

Seido Karate is a versatile, mentally engaging, affordable fitness program that strengthens mind, body and spirit. While we train hard in the dojo and strive to constantly push ourselves, safety and self-control are fundamental to our philosophy. The term “Seido” is Japanese for “sincere way”, and embodies our founder’s belief that true karate comes not only from physical fitness, but involves the improvement of all aspects of a person’s life. Karate is not just a sport, it is a way of living, which empowers students to grown mentally, morally, and physically and to better understand themselves and navigate life with confidence.
